Mostly, I want to be able to play hooky to go to Paul Butler's Collage Party at the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery next week.
Seriously, how fun does this look?

Plus, the roster of participating artists at the JMB event is an all-star lineup of fun people whose non-collage work I'm also a big fan of, such as:
Micah Lexier, Derek Sullivan, Sandy Plotnikoff, Anitra Hamilton, Kristan Horton, Dave Dyment, Katie Bethune-Leamen, and Jon Sasaki.
Who doesn't like sitting on the floor with safety scissors, glue sticks and a pile of vintage magazines? The only thing that could make it better is if wine was also being served.
Also, in keeping with the catophilia theme, this image from Paul Butler's website has the funniest caption:

"I'm having one of those weeks when I have fleeting but intense moments of wanting to drop out of grad school."
ReplyDeleteOh good, I'm not alone. Going away for a week is such a bad idea.
Look, I'm reading your blog!
I'm so jealous of your Jamaican getaway. I'm going to Costa Rica but not till April and it seems sooo far away.
